Manor Croft Academy acts as its own admissions authority which works in accordance with the national Schools Admissions Code and co-ordinates with the Schools Admissions Department of Kirklees Council (http://www.kirklees.gov.uk/beta/schools/search-for-a-school/default.aspx?dfe=4058).

YEAR 7 applications
Admissions for the start of Year 7 are processed by Kirklees Council. Parents with children in the final year of Primary School will receive information regarding this process from their Primary School. Parents are required to complete an on-line application form which can be found at the following link(http://www.kirklees.gov.uk/beta/schools-and-education.aspx#admissions). No applications made directly to the Academy can be accepted.
Important Dates for On-line admissions:
1st September 2016 - online applications for September 2017 open
31st October 2016 - closing date for 2017 entry applications
March 2017 - places for September 2017 entry will be offered by the Local Authority.
If you are unhappy with the school place you have been offered you have the right to go to appeal. Your offer e-mail will give you a contact for more information.
For children who will be starting at Manor Croft Academy in September, we will arrange a day during the summer term when they can visit the Academy.
If your child is in another secondary school and you feel that a change of school would benefit their education and / or general well-being you are entitled to apply for a school transfer. Contact the Academy’s Admissions Officer to request a School Transfer Application Form or click on the document below to download it.
Please note that there is no guarantee that a place will be available. The Admissions Officer will be able to advise you of the situation as well as the different courses of action open to you.
