Careers Week

24th November 2017

This week was careers week at Manor Croft and every student in school was asked to consider what their future career paths might be.  Assemblies highlighted the importance of achieving the best GCSE grades in order to maintain the widest range of career options.  Personal Progress Tutor time was used to discuss different opportunities and think about the providers they wanted to speak to at Thursday’s careers fair.

Over 25 external parties from colleges, universities, apprenticeship providers, businesses, the military and the civil service were on site to talk to our students about their next steps.  Many commented on how engaged, knowledgeable and well prepared the students were and how eager they were to discuss their future career goals and aspirations.  Students will now reflect on the information gathered to ensure that they are well placed to make the right choices about their future.

Year 11 students will use the information gained from the careers fair to complete their UCAS Progress applications.  They will continue to receive support from our careers team and teachers in order to make considered choices about their destinations after leaving Manor Croft.
