Christmas Community Party

18th December 2013

Today was the first Manor Croft Academy Christmas party. Grandparents and Senior Citizens from Manor Croft residential home were invited into school for a Christmas celebration. The school wanted to say thank you to the grandparents of our students.

Manor Croft Academy appreciates the commitment Grandparents’ give in order to help our students develop into caring, responsible young adults.

Twenty, Year 8 Student Ambassadors acted as hosts throughout the afternoon. Each guest was served a buffet meal followed by fairy cakes that our students had baked earlier in the day. The Year 7 choir joined after the meal for a carol singing session. Prizes were awarded to students that have been exceptional while attending Manor Croft Academy and finally the bingo and prize draw raffle ensured guests went away with early Christmas presents.

Special thanks goes to our dedicated Community Liason Officer, Linda Crayton for organising this superb event. The ‘My Time’ community group for the continual dedication they offer to support the school. Miss Giblin and her classes for taking the time to bake, and all the other members of staff made this such a successful event.
