Community Christmas Celebrations

15th December 2016

It has been a really busy day in the Academy with a number of events happening.  This morning we ran our Christmas Parents Consultation morning which was very positive.  We fed back on our actions from our last meeting and discussed some of the new initiatives that have been running.

We then hosted The Kirklees Musika Band for a Christmas concert with Year 7.  This was attended by parents from the earlier meeting and our neighbours from Manor Croft Nursing Home.

We have also had our Christmas lunch in the canteen where both staff and students enjoyed pulling crackers and eating together.

Tonight sees the music  department host their Christmas concert.  We are sure it will be another great event!

Many thanks to the local co-op who provided mince pies and refreshments as part of their community outreach programme.
