Manor Croft STEM team through to Finals

9th June 2016

Students from Year 8 and Year 9 attended the regional Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) finals at Huddersfield University.  As part of the day they had to work collaboratively with other schools to...

-Build a sensitive robot

-Build a Vehicle prototype

-Create an E-FIT image of a suspect from a crime

-Use chemical tests to diagnose illnesses of the respiratory and urinary systems.

It was an ideal opportunity for students to see what life is like on a University campus and apply classroom knowledge to the real world.

We are please to announce that Year 9 students John Abiodun, Harry Sullivan and Flynn Griffiths are all through to the National Finals which takes place during the next academic year.

Well done to everyone involved.
