School Election

11th May 2015

Running up to the General Election, Manor Croft Academy held it’s own Student election to see which main stream party would secure the post within our Academy. Three teams of students represented the three main parties of Conservatives, Labour and the Liberal Democrats. The students were tasked with examining each party’s education policy outlined in their manifesto and running a campaign that mirrored these views.

On General Election day each student went to the Academy’s polling station to cast their vote.

The overall winning party was the Labour party, closely followed by the Liberal Democrats. The students that managed the campaign and acted as figure heads for each party did an amazing job. Congratulations to all those who made this event happen.
