Summer 2013 Leavers Presentation Evening

3rd December 2013
On Thursday 28th November, Manor Croft Academy was graced with a Rugby League legend, Danny Brough.
The previous night, Danny was receiving the award for ‘International Stand Off' for 2013 while also being on a short list of three, for the ‘International Player’ of the year which eventually went to New Zealand star Sonny Bill Williams.
With such a busy schedule for the 2013 Man of Steel, we were delighted that Danny had the time to support our 2013 leavers and congratulate them on the highest grades obtained by a cohort of students from the school.
The night was filled with subject awards for students that had excelled in their summer examinations. Danny congratulated every student personally on receiving their certificates for the GCSE and B-Tec qualifications that they had worked so hard to achieve in July.
The 2013 ‘Outstanding Student Award’ was presented to Head Boy, James Broadhead and Head Girl, Millie Bradbury. Their combined efforts throughout their 5 years at the school have been inspiring for both students and staff. The leadership qualities that they have demonstrated while representing the school have been outstanding and we are delighted for theirs and all our student success this summer.
Special thanks goes to Huddersfield Giant’s Danny Brough for giving up his time to share with us his own experiences in life as we officially say goodbye to our 2013 students.
