Year 6 Tea Party

23rd April 2015

Each year Manor Croft Academy invites the parents of new Year 7 starters to the school for a tea party. This year over 120 people attended, and a lovely afternoon was enjoyed by all. Students and Parents had the chance to meet key members of staff and have the opportunity to arrange specialised transition programmes in order to  help reduce anxieties for students and even more so parents.

The 7th July is the official Transition Day for Kirklees. On this day our new Year 7 students will have the opportunity to meet with their Form Tutor and new form mates. The day is organised in such a way that the students will compete in forms against one another. Last year Mr Ellis’s form managed to win three of the five events. We’ll have to see if the contest is a little closer this year.
