Manor Croft continues the ‘Plastic Free Push’

Students have returned in January to a new system in the canteen that will save them money and the environment at the same time!  As a school we saved over 18,000 plastic bottles from going to landfill or the oceans last year by announcing our plastic free Friday initiative .  This year we are going a step further by not selling any plastic or canned drinks in the canteen, instead students will bring their water bottles, which they were given at the start of the year, and their drinks will be served in them.  We have been able to massively reduce the cost of the drinks as there is no packaging at the same time as reducing our single use plastics.  From small changes big things can happen – well done Manor Croft!
