A Manor Croft group went on a three day tour of the World War I Battlefield sites during the Easter break. In which the group came across a number of thought-provoking and saddening sites around the Ypres Saliant. To name a few of the sites the group saw such as, Essex Farm & Dressing Station, Sanctuary Wood, Vimy Ridge and Thiepval Memorial.
The final part of the trip saw two members of the group take part in the Menin Gate ceremony which is performed every night in Ypres. The group got to witness the ceremony while two of the students got to lay a wreath to pay respect for those who lost their lives during World War I.
Lest we forget
