Vice Principal

Richard’s career in teaching started in a comprehensive school in Barnsley where he taught Geography. He taught in Barnsley for 7 years and progressed to head of Geography before moving to a Dewsbury school to be Head of Humanities. After two years he moved to a Wakefield school as Assistant Head Teacher with responsibilities for student outcomes, quality assurance and pupil premium, where he stayed for 5 years. In September 2021 he moved to Manor Croft Academy as Vice Principal.

At Manor Croft Academy Richard is responsible for student outcomes which he is incredibly passionate about ensuring that all students achieve outstanding results which allow students to progress to Post-16.

Richard is enjoying life at Manor Croft and looking forward to the future and achieving another set of amazing results.
