Sonia Dharni

Assistant Principal

Sonia’s career in education started in Toxteth, Liverpool working at an underperforming school with many difficulties. She then moved back to West Yorkshire and started her role as a teacher in the English department. She quickly moved into the role of Head of Department and now also an Assistant Principal. Sonia’s story is unique as she attended Manor Croft as a child and she’s now able to empower young students in a position that she was once in.

Sonia’s passionate about ensuring all students have a rich literary background behind them before they progress onto their post 16 options. Her main goal is to develop confident and skilled readers across the academy and instil a love of reading in every student.
